May the Fourth – Force of Nature

ivory May 4th 2010 would have been my father’s 70th birthday – and on its eve, my mum and I joked on the phone that perhaps my dad would be allowed charge of the heavenly snow machine as a special treat.  As in life, it appears that my dad took such responsibilities very seriously as the Ariège/Aude region of France (where my mother continues to live) had six inches of snow yesterday.

The unseasonal conditions pleased my mum’s diva dog, Ivory who adores snow.   However, the freak weather caused havoc all across the South of France.  Next time, I’ll suggest he opts for the sunshine controls instead.
